Participants of FunSports CUP 2026 benefit from easy and convenient access to Brașov and within the city, thanks to excellent connections and support from local authorities.

🛣️ How to get to Brașov?
🔹 By car
Brașov is connected by national roads DN1, DN11, and DN73, located about 180 km from Bucharest (2h 30min – 3h), easily accessible from all directions of the country. It can be reached via the A3 highway (Bucharest – Ploiești), followed by DN1 towards Brașov.

🔹 By train
Brașov train station is an important railway hub, served daily by InterRegio and Regio trains from major Romanian cities: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iași, Constanța, Timișoara, Sibiu, and more. Train schedules are available at www.cfrcalatori.ro and on specialized mobile apps.

🔹 By plane
✈️ Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport (GHV) – located only 12 km from the city center, offering domestic and international flights.
✈️ Henri Coandă International Airport – Otopeni (OTP), Bucharest – the country’s main air gateway, with direct connections to Brașov by train, coach, or private transfer (2h 30min – 3h).
✈️ Sibiu International Airport (SBZ) – about 150 km from Brașov (2h 15min – 2h 30min), a viable option for international flights and transfers to the tournament.

🚎 Local transport in Brașov
During the tournament, local public transport (RATBV) is FREE for all participants (athletes, coaches, officials), thanks to a partnership with Brașov City Hall.

🔸 The RATBV network efficiently covers all key areas of the city: sports halls, accommodation units, the train station, city center, and residential neighborhoods.
🔸 The buses are modern, eco-friendly, and run frequently throughout the day.
🔸 Upon arrival in Brașov, each team will receive a set of RATBV travel cards valid for the entire duration of the competition.

📍 Useful tips:
• Check the routes and locations of the sports halls in advance – an official tournament map will be provided.
• For teams arriving via airports (Bucharest, Sibiu, or Brașov), organizers can assist in arranging transfers upon request – please contact us in advance.
