🧑‍⚖️ REFEREEING

The quality of refereeing is a key element for the optimal development of the competition. At FunSports CUP 2026, we ensure that every match is officiated by well-trained, impartial officials dedicated to fair play.

🔹 Official Referees

• All tournament matches will be officiated by certified referees with experience in junior and/or senior competitions, including invited international referees and referees delegated by AJH Brașov, FRH and EHF. All match reports will be submitted to the Romanian Handball Federation (FRH).
• The official rules of the Romanian Handball Federation (FRH) will be followed, adapted where necessary to the age categories involved.
• For the minihandball, baby handball, and amateur mixed handball categories, refereeing will be adjusted to the level of play, with a strong focus on fair play and encouraging young players.

🔹 Technical Observers

• The organizers will assign technical observers for the final stages and, when necessary, for the group stage matches.
• Observers will ensure the regulations are respected and refereeing is consistent throughout the tournament.

🔹 Fair Play & Respect

• Sportsmanship is a top priority: players, coaches, and supporters are expected to respect the referees' decisions at all times.
• Any conflictual situations will be addressed quickly and firmly, in the spirit of education through sport.
• The referee represents the highest authority on the field and has full rights to suspend or cancel any game in case of negative or violent behavior from any team.

We want this tournament to be an example of mutual respect, fairness, and collaboration among all parties involved.

👩‍⚖️ Do you want to be a referee at FunSports CUP 2026?

To apply:

• Send an email to funsportscup@gmail.com and attach your referee license/card.
• If all criteria are met, you will receive an official invitation.
• You will referee 4 to 6 matches per day.

In return:

 

• You will have the chance to participate in this major international event.
• You will receive free accommodation and meals.
• Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
• You will receive a certificate of participation and a gift from the organizers.
